SF-1BF thin-designed, flanged self-lubricating bearings are structurally formed from a 0.2~0.3mm thick low-carbon steel plate as supporting base onto which a sintered porous bronze-powder middle layer of 0.15~0.3mm thickness with a top surface reformulated PTFE layer of 0.01~0.05mm thickness, thus resulting in a composite plate having a total thickness of about 0.5mm. Such a composite plate is then curved, processed into final sliding bearing products. The advantages of SF-1BF are low coefficient of friction, wear-resistant, light weight, structurally tight, and self-lubricating.
SF-1BF is very suitable for automotive door joints, automotive electrical controlled seats, and other places where oil lubricant cannot be easily applied.
